Getting to Know the FlexSA Board – Nick Gandy

Over the coming months, we’re going to introduce members of the Flexible Space Association’s Board.  They are the representatives of our wider membership, helping to shape the direction of the Association.

We’re starting with Nick Gandy, who has been a member of the Board since 2018.  Nick is pictured co-hosting the FlexSA Awards last November in London.

Which company do you work for, and what is your role?

BE Offices Ltd, where I am Director of Business Centres.  My role is running the operations of BE Offices, & Offices and our Headspace brands. I oversee the Centre Managers and I am responsible for the customer service standards/client satisfaction.

What do you most enjoy or value about being a member of the Flexible Space Association’s Board?

I enjoy the company of my fellow board members and their different and varied experiences in this industry. I also enjoy the insight it gives me about the priorities, needs and objectives of all our members.

The two signature events are always the pinnacle for me however, both the Conference and the Gala awards evening – both are a testament to the fantastic feeling of community we share, the business values we all strive for and the strength in unity that exists. This eclectic mix of businesses and personalities is inherent in FlexSA.

Is it a good time to be in the flexible workspace sector, and if so why?

The future of flexible workspace is still, in the grand scheme of things, in its infancy. Post-Covid our industry has the opportunity to thrive and significantly increase market share. With design, technology, well-being and superb service also on the menu, the future looks great for us.

What would you say to encourage companies which are not currently members of the Flexible Space Association to join?

You do not have to tackle ever-changing regulations, laws, procedures etc on your own and without guidance. We are here to guide and support you. Benefit from the myriad of experience and opportunity that FlexSa membership can open up for you.

Tell us something interesting about yourself that might be a surprise to others in the industry.

I have two different coloured eyes – but that’s really boring!!

You can find details of the Flexible Space Association’s Board members, and the representatives of the Service Provider and Broker members, on our website here.
