Flexible Space Association Calls for More Government Support for Industry

The Flexible Space Association has called for more financial support from Government to help the flexible workspace industry through the Coronavirus crisis.

The trade association for the flexible workspace industry has submitted its concerns and requests to the Parliamentary Treasury Committee, which had called for views from stakeholders on whether the Government's response to the coronavirus is sufficient, and to suggest areas where more support is needed.

The submission sets out some of the challenges being faced, and the importance of the sector to future economic growth.  It calls on the industry to be included in the Business Rates 'holiday' scheme which has been applied for a year to sectors including retail and hospitality.  It also suggests other measures, including an extension of the Empty Rates Relief Scheme.
