Catch Up with Women in Flex Online

The Flexible Space Association has hosted the latest in its series of Women in Flex events, taking the concept online to enable people from across the UK to attend.  If you missed it live, the recording is now available to watch.

Over the past year, in-person Women in Flex events have taken place in Manchester and London, in partnership with FlexSA Service Provider Member technologywithin.  They aim to inspire women to progress their careers within the flexible workspace industry.

Today’s panel discussion was hosted by Laurie Dennard, Strategic Marketing Consultant at technologywithin, and she spoke to a panel comprising Celia Donne, Vice President Operations EMEA at IWG, Charli Stanger-Leathes, Area Sales and Broker Manager at x+why, and Karen Osborne, Operations Director at UBC.

In a wider ranging discussion, the panellists talked about how their own careers in the flexible workspace sector had progressed.  They gave advice on seeking out opportunities to get involved in activities that might be slightly outside their roles, the benefits of networking (even if it can be daunting!), how they look to achieve a work-life balance and what they are looking for when they interview people for roles.

Whilst wrapping up the session and thanking the participants, the Flexible Space Association’s Executive Director Jane Sartin spoke about the benefits she’d gained from involvement in voluntary activities outside of work, giving her experience useful to her career.

A recording of the webinar is available to watch here.

Details of future webinars and other events can be found on the events page of our website.
