DBS Managed Offices, an East Midlands based provider, celebrate the remarkable achievement of 21 years in business this month. DBS Managed Offices is the creation of Lesley Duckitt & John Piper, who started the business in 1993 after failing to find the right type of office space for their growing consultancy firm. After purchasing and restoring the Old Vicarage, in Castle Donington, Derbyshire, DBS opened its doors as of January 2nd 1993. Following a successful 7 years in business, and development of two further office buildings on the site, DBS opened its second business centre in 2000; this time in Glenfield, Leicestershire. Since then DBS has seen significant changes in the way people work and an increased need for flexible and affordable services.
DBS has changed over these last 21 years. When DBS began, it offered serviced offices, conferencing and virtual offices – over the years these services have grown to meet demand. Understanding the need for flexible working, DBS has introduced Co-Working spaces at each of its sites, with Day Offices and Shared Offices also available. Other new services include two new serviced apartments in Castle Donington; one for short lets, and one for longer lets of 1-12 months.
This month DBS opened their 3rd centre in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire. The Old Police Station and Courthouse has undergone a £500K refurbishment to create unique office suites – suitable for all sized businesses. With flexible configurations and flexible options the new semi-serviced offices will be an alternative to the fully serviced offices, currently provided – giving businesses a choice in the service level they require in the East Midlands.
