i2 Office Rebrands as Landmark and Reveals Major Growth Plans
i2 Office has announced a rebrand of its workspace network as Landmark, following the acquisition of BCA Member Landmark PLC in 2017.
In tandem with the rebrand, Landmark has launched a new style and greater choice of workspaces in line with growing demand for flexible space.
The new additions include bespoke private floors for up to 100 people, and Club Desk - a membership programme offering a mix of different workspace ‘zones’. Club Desk includes partitioned quiet zones, private working pods, hot desks, and coffee bars, and are now being introduced at specific Landmark centres following a trial period.
As part of its continued growth, Landmark plans to extend its network to over 65 locations by 2020, and capitalise on its strengthened proposition in response to rising demand for flexible workspace.
John Spencer, Chief Executive Officer at Landmark (formerly i2 Office) commented: “The acquisition of Landmark and decision to rebrand our network signals an exciting new era of opportunity and growth for our colleagues, clients, partners and investors alike.
“Across our 44 locations, our largest customer segment could be described as ‘proudly established’ SMEs who have experienced a range of office styles but who do not comfortably identify with the ‘funkier’, more informal coworking hubs where high-fives replace handshakes. They want to be inspired by their workspace, but their primary need is for a professional environment that encourages productivity.”
According to Landmark, there is a marked preference among mature SMEs for workspaces that feel professional above those that feel creative. John commented:
“Our client feedback shows that we excel at the important basics - such as transparent pricing, secure superfast Wi-Fi and 24/7 building access - but really set ourselves apart by offering a wide choice of high-quality spaces and our commitment to looking after our clients, in particular with our renowned concierge-style service. Based on this preference, the company has designed its range of workspaces to strike a balance between inspiring and professional.
Founded in 1999, Landmark operates a network of 44 flexible workspace centres in city centre locations across the UK. In 2014, i2 Office was acquired by parent company OCS Group, the UK-based international facilities management provider, which acquired Landmark PLC in 2017.
