Avanta appoints new Chief Executive

Avanta Managed Offices Limited has appointed Alan Pepper as Chief Executive with immediate effect. Pepper replaces David Alberto who steps down as Managing Director.

Pepper, the Finance and Commercial Director of Avanta since January 2007, is planning to strengthen Avanta’s position in the serviced office sector and reinforce the company’s dominant position in London.

“Since buying back the shares held by Kenmore in June, Avanta is now 100% owned by its management team and we are now masters of our own destiny,” he comments. “I’m keen to capitalise on Avanta’s strengths in the marketplace and further strengthen our focus on customer service excellence, an area in which we lead the industry.
Avanta has enjoyed a great start to the year with record levels of enquiries and viewings that have helped us achieve solid occupancy levels of 88% across the portfolio. We are trading ahead of plan for 2011/2012 which gives us a positive outlook for the coming year as revenues continue to grow month on month”.
Commenting on the change of leadership, David Alberto adds “Alan has been a key member of the team that has built Avanta to where it is now and is naturally placed to lead the business during its next stage of development. As a principal shareholder in Avanta, I will continue on the board and will still be involved in the business development side of the company. However, with an increasing number of other commitments I felt that this was the right time for Alan to take charge of the day to day running of Avanta.”
