hUBClub Wins Service Innovation Award

The Service Innovation Award recognises new or expanded services that benefit flexible workspace customers, or clients of businesses providing services to the flexible workspace sector.

There were several entries for this year’s Flexible Space Association Awards which focused on how the flexible workspace industry is responding to increased demand for flexibile workspace that works for hybrid working arrangements.  These included two of the three finalists in the Service Innovation category, with DeskLodge’s creation of Part-time Office and Day Office products also featuring.

The winner of the category was UBC for their hUBClub initiative.

hUBClub is a brand and service which seeks to address more flexible working patterns and the desire for collaboration, especially among smaller businesses.  It allows clients to use UBC offices with full flexibility, having full-time or part-time coworking, or ad-hoc use of a day office or meeting room.

Flexible workspace operators of every size and in every location have faced a similar challenge of addressing people’s changing working patterns, as they look to combine home and office working.

hUBClub is a brand within UBC that represents the service excellence UBC stands for, the business hub that is the environment they create and ‘Club’ for a sense of belonging.  Their aim is for their clients to feel an integral part of a business community.

hUBClub offers the ability to use UBC offices with total flexibility. They can have full-time co-working, or part-time, or they can use ad-hoc with no commitment at all for day desk hire, day private office hire, meeting room hire.  Customers can also purchase credits in advance to use over a 3 month period.

Full-time members receive guest passes, and all members receive free invitations to hUBClub networking events. They receive exclusive membership discounts and can use communal areas.

The judging panel were impressed with the way hUBClub faced a challenge being met by all flexible workspace operators, and the use of a distinct brand within the existing business.
