FlexSA Compliance Forum

The first meeting of the FlexSA Compliance Forum (FCF) under its new name takes place today.

It began life as the Virtual Office Forum in 2010, and the new name recognises the relevance of compliance related matters to a much wider range of services provided by flexible workspace operators than just virtual office services.

The FCF brings together representatives of the Flexible Space Association’s Workspace Operator members with those from HMRC, Companies House, Trading Standards, City of London Police, and other agencies with an interest in financial crime and compliance matters, such as The Insolvency Service.  It is seen as a valuable body by everyone involved, as a platform to be updated on new legislation relevant to the sector, to share information on matters such as scams which are particularly prevalent and to ask questions and exchange information.

The long-standing Chair of the Forum Peter Radcliffe (pictured), who runs virtual office company Office Front, explained: “The topics discussed have always been relevant to the entire sector, and provide an important bridge between us and government departments and law enforcement agencies. Renaming the forum ensures all operators appreciate its value.”

Stephen Yates, Vice-Chair of the Forum and Compliance Manager at Argyll added: “This change makes clear that the forum’s purpose is to support compliance and address critical issues affecting all workspace providers and the services they offer.”

The FlexSA Compliance Forum is open to all FlexSA Workspace Operator members, and any not currently represented can contact the FlexSA office for more information.
