Excellence in Customer Service Award: Clockwise Edinburgh Leith

The Clockwise Edinburgh Leith team were the recent winners of the Flexible Space Association’s Excellence in Customer Service Award for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Their entry set out how the team of General Manager Steven Carr, Assistant Manager Sandra Merwa and Community Coordinator Lauren Osborne ensure that Clockwise’s five values underpin everything they do: Make It Personal, Build With Purpose, Be Permanently Flexible, Catalyse Your Community, and Lead the Way.

Together they work to get to know their members, treating them like an extension to the team.  There are regular ‘Member Health Checks’ to check in on how they are doing and identify any issues to resolve.  Significant milestones are marked, from births to career achievements.

Lauren is the Green Officer, and in this role actively champions sustainability through initiatives such as green energy, enhanced recycling and sourcing from local, sustainable suppliers.

Clockwise Edinburgh Leith hosts quarterly LGBT+ networking events, and are the venue for the Women’s Business Cub’s weekly Coffee and Coworking meetup.

A Leith Business Networking event was initiated to better serve the local business community, and build connections.  Steven also serves on the board of Leith Chamber of Commerce.

Their award was collected by Alexandra Livesey, COO of Clockwise, with colleagues Katy Tennant and Rachel McMillan, and presented by the Chairman of the Flexible Space Association’s Board, Freya Cross, all pictured above at last month’s Gala Dinner.

The Clockwise Edinburgh Leith team are pictured preparing for Christmas in their workspace, with Steven Carr and Sandra Merwa in the first picture, and Lauren Osborne pictured with Sandra.
