Birmingham Workspace Tour

The Flexible Space Association hosted a tour of flexible workspaces in Birmingham yesterday, bringing together a group from 8 of our member companies to visit 5 flexible workspaces in the city.

The tour group began at x+why Colmore Row.  In this modern building we were not only shown around modern flexible workspace, but the private members’ club x+why operate for the use of 18 storey building.  Appropriately, the club is called eighteen, and as well as stylish meeting rooms, events space and a large terrace, has a very glamorous long bar.

Our visit included a visit to a second x+why, in Brindley Place.  This had quite a different look, with an atrium at its heart, but again great space for meetings and events alongside workspace.  Some of the tour group are pictured below in the atrium.

Since our last Workspace Tour in Birmingham, we have seen many new members join the Association, and we were able to include two of their workspaces on the tour yesterday.

It was our first visit to workspace run by CEG’s Let Ready, and they offer a variety of workspace in Birmingham’s Alpha Tower.  The building includes Alpha Works, providing coworking space and meeting rooms, as well as private offices.

There was also a visit to space run by one of our newest members, Spacemade.  Their 10X by Spacemade workspace only opened last summer, and is beautifully designed, with great facilities.  It wasn’t the weather to spend too much time on them, but the terraces are going to be a great asset in the summer!

We’re always pleased to be able to visit our long-standing members as well, and yesterday we took in Landmark’s workspace in Brindley Place.  Constructed around an impressive atrium, they offer smart private offices, meeting rooms and coworking space.  We were also pleased to see the FlexSA membership certificate given pride of place in a smart frame in the reception area!

Our workspace tours are a great way of visiting a variety of flexible workspaces in an area, and it’s always notable how every workspace operator does things slightly differently, ensuring there’s the right space for every business’s needs.

Keep an eye out for future Workspace Tours and other events on our events pages.
