Birmingham Workspace Tour
Members of the Flexible Space Association took a tour of flexible workspaces in Birmingham yesterday, visiting four very different spaces in the city centre.
The tour provided an opportunity to see a range of workspaces, and meet with others working in the sector.
Four workspaces were on the itinerary:
- Bruntwood Works’ Cornwall Buildings, based in a magnificent Victorian building, with a strong focus on highl levels of interior design.
- BE Offices’ Somerset House, where as well as seeing the stylish workspace, we visited the large rooftop terrace and the gym and golf simulator in the basement.
- Airivo in the heart of the city, is home to a very unusual top floor round meeting room. Like Somerset House, the building is art deco in style, with some great features.
- Spaces at The Mailbox was the final stop on our tour. The group were all intrigued by the new ‘Open Desk’ service being offered here, with desks in lockable compartments with a very open feel.
Spencer Tagg, Operations Director at Airivo, said: “It was great to be part of the FlexSA workspace tour on Wednesday to visit a number of other business centres in the heart of Birmingham. Whilst it’s always great to network, there is huge value in getting to see first hand the look and feel of different centres and make connections with ‘our neighbours’ – thank you FlexSA for organising and to our hosts in the various centres.”
Andrew Issott, Marketing Director at BE Offices, commented: “This was my second FlexSA operator tour and it was really useful again and insightful to see other operators in action and great to meet other individuals in the flex sector”
The Flexible Space Association has workspace tours scheduled for Manchester and London, and will be looking for other opportunities to enable FlexSA members to visit workspaces.
