2024 a Record Year for FlexSA Events
At last week’s Flexible Space Association Board meeting, Board members were updated on the events the Association ran for its members last year. They suggested this was information we should share more widely!
During 2024 FlexSA ran a record number of events, with a total of 49 held; the closest to this was in 2023, with 38.
In 2024, of the 49 events held 23 were in-person events and 26 virtual. The in-person events included visiting a number of places for the first time to run roundtable meetings and workspace tours – Liverpool, Southampton, Slough and Cardiff were all first-time locations for us.
Our largest events were our Conference and Exhibition in May, and Gala Dinner in November. Other in-person events were:
- 12 Roundtable Meetings, in Leeds, Newcastle, London, Bristol, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Cardiff, Liverpool, Southampton and Manchester. Most roundtables included a visit to other workspaces nearby.
- 5 Workspace Tours organised in Slough, Birmingham, Brighton, Manchester and London. Each saw a group visit 4 or 5 workspace locations.
- 4 special events in partnership with some of our Service Provider members, focused on technology, career progression for women in the industry and the national living wage.
Online events allow us to reach more people around the UK throughout the year, and in 2024:
- We held 16 Virtual Roundtable Meetings, bringing together people working at our Workspace Operator member companies across the UK for updates on FlexSA activities and to share their news and ask questions of each other.
- 9 Workspace Wisdom Webinars took place, sharing advice and information on a host of topics relevant to the running of flexible workspaces, from energy contracts to cyber security. All the recordings can be viewed on our YouTube channel.
We’ve got 2025 underway with a virtual roundtable, an in-person roundtable and workspace visits in London, and a Workspace Wisdom Webinar. There’s lost more to come! Check out our events pages now, and keep an eye out for further additions throughout the year.
