Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our well-established IT Solutions Company as a Technical Sales/Account Manager. We are now seeking to recruit a dynamic, experienced and highly self-motivated professional to complement our professional team.

Overall purpose of the role:

The role will require the successful candidate to support the sales effort through maintaining and developing high level contacts within existing and new customer base. The role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Acting as the initial point of contact within the company for customers business liaison issues, taking a responsibility for information relating to the customer.
  • Being proactive in the identification and securing of valuable new customers in a range of industry sectors and markets whilst providing ongoing communication and support to existing customers, and ensuring the highest levels of satisfaction are attained whilst maximising revenue development opportunities from those relationships.
  • Supporting the sales and operational functions, effectively managing projects and tenders and identifying opportunities with both existing and potential customers.
  • Producing high quality weekly/monthly sales reports where appropriate.

Our integrated product/service portfolio to work with includes:

  • CLARITY CORE, our fully comprehensive Workspace Management System with its add-on modules (including CLARITY Digital Screens, Visitor Digital Sign-in, Parcel Management, Customer Portal, Facilities Management, Cloud Hosted Platform).
  • Managed IT Services to include Connectivity Solutions, Wireless Solutions, Cloud Migration, Network Infrastructure, Data Security, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
  • VoIP phones for Business and Microsoft Teams Deployment.

Requirements for skills and experience:

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional commercial and communication / influencing skills at all levels, and be comfortable in both proactive new business development activities as well as existing account management responsibilities. Candidates will have full UK driving licence, will be flexible to travel as required as well as attending trade fairs and shows as an ambassador of the business. It is envisaged that you will realistically be degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering and technical discipline with at least 3 years demonstrable previous proven success in a (technical and engineering) B2B sales environment. Candidates must have an excellent work ethic and the ability to operate autonomously. It’s preferable that candidates have experience within the business centre, innovation/science led industry.

Will have the ability to recognise opportunities, and identify and implement solutions. Be self-motivated with a can-do attitude. Be willing to learn.


Salary from £30,000 – £35,000 plus commission, dependant on experience and qualifications. Use of Company Car. Private Medical Insurance and Group Income Protection Plan. Excellent working environment, good holiday entitlement. There are ad-hoc benefits such as free parking, occasional company nights out and free breakfast sandwiches on Fridays. Located on the outskirts of Chesterfield (Derbyshire) with good road and rail connections across the country. Our offices are newly built offering a spacious workplace with kitchen, break out area and shower facility.
