Spotlight: BCA Member, LEO launch Octagon Point with tech at its heart

On Thursday night, the BCA were pleased to attend the launch of London Executive Office’s (LEO) new space, Octagon Point, located on the doorstep of St Paul’s Cathedral.

0110Taken on a 15-year lease arrangement from the Dubai based conglomerate, the space totals 40,126 sq ft, of serviced office accommodation, with many of the offices boasting views of St Paul’s Cathedral.

On launching the space Tim Giles, Chief Executive of LEO, said:

‘We offer the very best luxury five-star serviced offices in prime central London and we’re delighted to have launched such an iconic building – it’s an excellent addition to our portfolio and really complements our other centres by offering our customers a choice of style and location within the City core. The views over St Pauls have to be seen to be believed.”

Technology is at the heart of what LEO are offering at Octagon Point, with representatives keen to stress that the space could play host to even the most sophisticated technology players in the London market. For the BCA, that was timely, given the theme of BCA Conference 2016 is “Era of Change: Engage, Influence and Lead in the Mobile World”!

0007Among the facilities on offer at this new space, is Internet Protocol TV. It will be included in selected offices within the building, offering customers access to all of the major news channels, as well as the channels you would associate with a Freeview package. There is no need for customers to buy their own televisions and aerials if they want to access the news channels and keep an eye on financial and political developments around the world.

The delivery of IPTV across the centre, coupled with the resilience of the internet provision offered in the building shows just how flexible space providers are responding to consumer demand as technology shapes the habits of companies and employees alike.

And it is timely BCA Conference is coming up as they’ll be more examples of technological innovations that will come to punctuate our sector in the years and decades to come.
