F&C REIT, the specialist property asset manager, is again celebrating success at the influential IPD Property Investment Awards, with the performance of two key portfolios being recognised at a ceremony held in London yesterday.
The Friends Life With Profits Fund property portfolio won the award for the category ‘Insurance Company Life Funds above £100m and below £1bn’ for the highest 3 year annualised return to December 2011.
The award marks the third year in a row that one of F&C’s portfolios has been recognised at the event, and the second year running for this particular fund. The Fund delivered a 3 year annualised return of 18.6% which was the highest return achieved by any of the Funds recognised at the event.
The Royal & Sun Alliance General Fund property portfolio, which is managed by F&C REIT’s Julian Smith, won the award for the category ‘Balanced Pooled & Traditional Funds above £100m and below £500m’ for the highest 3 year annualised return to December 2011.
Richard Kirby of F&C REIT, who manages the Friends Life With Profits Fund property portfolio, commented:
"We are absolutely thrilled to have won such a prestigious award which is based solely on performance. Winning an award for the third consecutive year is a source of real satisfaction and further validation of the successful track record of F&C REIT.”
