Facebook launch new business site

Facebook has launched a new B2B focused website aimed at smaller businesses at

In many cases smaller businesses have been quick off the mark when adding Facebook to their arsenal of marketing tools, mostly because of its cost (free), great content links, and wide reach. It also has some SEO value although minimal.

The site is launched just after Google+ announces that brands are being asked to trial its new service that we blogged about earlier in July. To read all about Google+ go here for our take on things.

The Facebook site has some useful downloads, videos and general advice in getting the most out of your business pages covering 3 engagement areas:

  • Join the conversation
Use your Page to post regular updates and offer special content to generate comments, likes and loyalty.

  • Build relationships
Get to know your fans and make people feel at home by responding to Page feedback in a predictable, timely way

  • Gain valuable insights
Learn how your audience is interacting with your Page and make adjustments to increase engagement.

A Facebook spokeswoman says: “Facebook allows small businesses to create rich social experiences, build lasting relationships and amplify the most powerful type of marketing - word of mouth. We created to make it even easier for people to reach these objectives and grow.”
