Four daredevil managers from Bizspace business centres across the Midlands will be taking a leap of faith on November 5th by abseiling down the walls of Dudley Castle in aid of charity.
As part of the company’s nationwide campaign to raise more than £3,000 for its chosen charity, The Stroke Association, this unique challenge will see the Bizspace team abseil 70ft down the main tower of the castle.
“Once this challenge was offered to us we had no hesitation in jumping on it, so to speak,” comments Kevin Rose, Bizspace’s centre manager from Wolverhampton. “It’s a challenge that all four of us are looking forward to and I’m hoping that in so doing we can help to substantially increase the funds being raised for The Stroke Association.”
The Stroke Association is the only UK-wide charity solely concerned with combating stroke in people of all ages. James Beeby, head of corporate partnerships for Association said “We are very grateful that the team at Bizspace have made us their chosen charity this year. There are over 20,000 cases of stroke or TIA (mini stroke) each year in the Midlands.
These much needed funds will go towards prevention and also facilities that help those that survive strokes, like the new Life After Stroke Centre, opening in Bromsgrove at the end of this year.”
