Positive news from BCA Members just keeps coming in 2015. Is there something in the water?
It's possible, given that the latest piece of good news comes straight from the shores of Lakeside House in Northampton.
This attractive property is the new home of MSO Workspace's newest venture, representing the latest addition to their swiftly expanding serviced office portfolio.
Indeed, it was only 18 months ago that MSO was shortlisted for the title of Independent Business Centre of the Year. That was 2013, and since then, Managing Director Steve Lyons has ensured MSO is now well outside the Independent bracket by adding a string of new venues to the company portfolio.
"We started here in the Midlands 8 years ago, and we have every intention of expanding nationwide with the same model," said Steve, commenting on MSO's strong presence in the area.
"Our decision to launch in Northampton is client-driven. We have had several requests from existing and new clients for space there, particularly as the area we are opening is a pivotal hub along the M1 corridor."
Ahead of its launch in April 2015, the MSO team is busy preparing the new space for clients and prospects. However, far from a standard one-size-fits-all approach, Steve explains that the business centre will be tailored to fit specific requirements.
"We build bespoke to the client's individual needs, as we have done at recent buildings opened in Manchester and Birmingham. Rather than just follow a standard appearance, we offer new corporate clients the opportunity to get involved in the layout, shape, furniture, and overall 'look'. They can use their own corporate colours if they wish, and have a say in the technology too."
With this latest addition, MSO is spreading its reach across the Midlands and capturing that all-important road and rail commuter traffic. But far from going back to their Midlands roots, the MSO team have their sights set much further afield.
The company has new opportunities earmarked in London and Manchester Deansgate, and according to Steve, there are many more exciting possibilities on the horizon.
"We have several opportunities currently in negotiation, but it's too early to release any information," he added. And as for 2015? "There is plenty in the pipeline and some exciting value-added services to bring to our proposition, too."
Before we have even completed the first quarter of 2015, the flexible workspace industry is abuzz with prominent and exciting plans for the year ahead. With the market in regional towns and cities springing to life, and BCA Members up and down the country reporting growth news and expansions, it seems 2015 could well be an unforgettable year within our sector.
